A Return to Virtue

The Young Women of the ward had their New Beginnings program last night.  I believe we have fantastic young women here, with talented leaders.  They sang a song named "Return to Virtue" which I find very touching and beautiful.  Some people think it presumptuous, that it implies the previous young women were less virtuous, and others wonder how some of those girls can honestly sing it.  What the song actually says is that the world doesn't follow God's commands, but we will, and invite all to join us.  It might be an invitation to repent, a moral 'title of liberty', but all in all in makes me think of how much joy our Heavenly Father has from his daughters holding to virtue.  I think it could help people remember who they are and that they don't have to put up with the crud that the world continues to fabricate in media, fashion, and public opinion.  You can hear it here: http://www.jennyphillips.com/explore/music/we-believe/
